The creation of integrated information and library infrastructure in Central Asian countries discussed at NU.

On October 26, 2022, NU hosted a round table “The role of corporate interaction of libraries in the digitalization of higher education in Central Asia.”

Event organizers: The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, International Center for Innovation in Higher Education with the support of UNESCO (UNESCO-ICHEI), The Association of Libraries of Higher Educational Institutions of Kazakhstan, and NU.

Participants of the event: managers and leading specialists of the Ministry, national and university libraries, and leading organizations-suppliers of information systems and products from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China, and Russia.

Access to complete and reliable information has always been an important condition for quality education and advanced scientific research. Therefore, participants of the event considered, analyzed, and discussed the issues of creating an integrated information and library infrastructure of Central Asian countries based on the use of new information technologies and active interaction on the usage of corporate information resources.
