Share this articleOn April 13, 2024, within the framework of his official visit to Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili visited NU.
He aimed to learn more about the activities of the country's leading university and the development of domestic science.
During the meeting, Dr. Ilesanmi Adesida, the Acting President of NU, gave Shalva Papuashvili an overview of the research university's initiatives, values, key developmental milestones, and standing in international rankings.
As part of the visit, he was given a tour of NU's campus, including the master plan and advanced laboratories such as electron microscopy, where NU researchers, with the operation of powerful microscopes, study nano-objects.
At the end of the visit, Shalva Papuashvili, the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, met with the students, who shared their views on the development of Kazakh-Georgian relations. They talked about their studies and opportunities for research projects at the university. The Georgian parliamentarian highly assessed the university's potential and thanked the hospitable reception.
