On April 17, 2024, His Excellency Mr. Nauman Bashir Bhatti, the Ambassador of Pakistan in Kazakhstan, delivered an engaging guest lecture for students at NU

The lecture titled "Global Climate Finance Outlook, Pakistan’s Perspective and Future Approach", hosted by the NU Department of Internationalization, gathered significant interest among the NU students, staff, and faculty.

In his speech he reflected on Climate Politics in the world, the International Climate Finance Outlook, as well as Pakistan’s Internal and External Dynamics, and the future financial approach of Pakistan. Afterward, there was a Q&A session and interaction with Pakistani members of the NU community.

As part of his diplomatic service, Ambassador Bhatti has held several key positions at Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Missions Abroad, in both bilateral and
multilateral arenas. He has also maintained an active international profile and held various elected/leadership positions at the global level. Previously served as the Co-
Chair of Green Climate Fund (GCF) Board for 2023; Chair of GCF Ethics & Audit Committee; and member of GCF Performance Oversight Committee.

The presented lecture aims to enhance the relationship between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, promoting cooperation and shared understanding across various areas.
