Share this articleOn February 7, Nazarbayev University hosted the prestigious Warm Winter Awards Ceremony, organized by the student-run Children’s Development Foundation (CDF).
This important annual charity event focuses on collecting winter clothing and essential items for children from socially vulnerable families. This year, aid was provided to 213 children from 132 families.
"I am pleased that our students volunteered for such an important cause. This event is not only about recognition and gratitude, but also a testament to the generosity, kindness, and unwavering commitment of the NU community. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to CDF for their outstanding work. We are always ready to support you. The impact of this project speaks for itself – many children and families have received the assistance they needed thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers, team leaders, and numerous partners," said NU President Dr. Waqar Ahmad.
In turn, CDF President Anelya Nauryzbayeva thanked the University’s Department of Student Services for their active support, noting that more than 400 students participated in the initiative, and seven clothing stores partnered with the project.
The ceremony concluded with the recognition of the most active participants, whose efforts and dedication brought real assistance to those in need.
