The head of state learned about a hospital service Smart Classrooms that allows children to continue school education without interruption for treatment. Children follow the school curriculum and take classes in mathematics, history, and other subjects. Music therapy sessions, electronic fairy tales, various creative games, and chess are available to young patients.

President Tokayev met with some of the children, who have traveled to Astana from other parts of the country to receive treatment, and their parents. During the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev mentioned why 2022 was pronounced as the Year of Children, so the government focused efforts on the improvement of policies in education, children’s healthcare, and youth sports.
President Tokayev wished the little patients a speedy recovery, congratulated them on the New Year, and presented them with presents. He also gifted the hospital with a new reanimobile.

The National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health currently has 351 young patients. In 2022, nearly 18,000 children received treatment here.
