The Graduate School of Education secured a remarkable position in the 176–200 range for education research, marking its most tremendous success to date.
The School of Medicine advanced to the 401–500, reflecting steady progress.
Meanwhile, Arts and Humanities, Engineering, and Social Sciences maintained their positions within the 401–500 range, showcasing consistency.
Computer Science was ranked in the 501–600 range, while the Physical Sciences cluster, encompassing a variety of disciplines, placed within the 601–800 range. Similarly, Business, Economics, and Life Sciences remained steady in the 601–800 range.
Phil Baty, Chief Global Affairs Officer at Times Higher Education, commended the performance of the Asian universities, including NU:
"The 2025 Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject are now live - featuring thousands of universities across 11 subject areas. Asia’s best performance is in Business and Economics where Peking University and Tsinghua University both rose to take fourth and sixth place, respectively. Alongside the The University of Hong Kong, both Peking and Tsinghua also finished in the top 10 for Education Studies. In Central Asia, Nazarbayev University in Kazakhstan entered the world top 200 for Education Studies."
