Share this articleToday the new Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov visited NU and learned about the functioning and activities of the University. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov.
The delegation was hosted by the President of NU Shigeo Katsu, Chairman of the Executive Council Aslan Sarinzhipov, First Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Council Maxat Mamashev, Deputy Chairperson of the Executive Council Kadisha Dairova.
The visit of the high-ranking guests started with presentation of NU infrastructure at the University miniature and general presentation of schools and centers of NU.
During the visit the Prime Minister visited the scientific research laboratories of the School of Engineering and School of Science and Technology, visited the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Kazakh language and the library. The deans of schools and heads of departments hosted the delegation and talked about the functioning of each.
At the School of Engineering laboratories the Prime Minister had a look at 3D printers and other cutting edge equipment, which produce different parts of robots NU students and scientists are working on.
After an introductory university tour Serik Akhmetov signed the NU Honored Guestbook and left his best wishes to NU students.
