NU Library hosted the School of Library Technologies-2022 workshop

Librarians from 9 local universities expanded their leadership and professional competencies.

NU Library, jointly with Kazakhstan's Association of University Libraries, organized "Modern library of a higher education institution: management, resources, technologies, and forms of service" workshop from December 5 to 9, 2022. 

Seventeen participants from 9 universities in Kazakhstan attended this activity. They learned about NU Library's experience in promoting successful research activities, the basics of inclusive information and educational environment in the information society, information search, and data management technologies. Participants also learned about advanced information and communication technologies in user service, acquired knowledge in library project development, and the marketing tools in promoting the library in society.

On the final day, participants presented their projects based on the knowledge and skills they had acquired. Participants were awarded a certificate of successful workshop completion.

The School of Library Technologies is one of the forms of professional training for librarians. Its purpose is to develop and improve the leadership and professional competencies of managers and specialists of libraries of higher educational institutions. Since 2012 NU Library and the Association of University Libraries in Kazakhstan have jointly been broadcasting advanced experience in the field of modern information technologies and library work, holding professional events in various formats.
