On September 11, 2018, within a framework of celebration of the 90th anniversary of the world-famous writer Chingiz Aitmatov, the literary and theatrical event “Shyngys Aitmatov - adamzat gumanizіmіnіn shynary” was held at NU.
Askar Aitmatov, a public official of Kyrgyzstan; Abdyldazhan Akmataliev, Kyrgyz literary scholar; Orhan Soylemez, researcher C. Aitmatov’s works, professor of Ardahan University (Turkey); representatives of the Embassies of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in Kazakhstan, scientists, journalists, cultural officials, university teachers and students participated in the event.
During the event, theatrical performances based on Aitmatov’s works and song “Raimaly men Begimaydyn Zhyry” were presented by second and fourth-year students from NU Schools of Humanities and Social Sciences, Science and Technology: Baltaly Akerke, Batyrbai Gulbike, Batyrbaeva Zhanerke, Beskempirova Aruzhan, Bokembay Gulsara, Kadenova Aida, Kali Aset, Kalybek Nursultan, Kamataeva Ayazhan, Katrenov Sayan, Habibullah Miras, Khalmet Nargis, Kuanyshev Nurdaulet, Malikova Nazym, Mamet Anel, Sagadatova Hanshaym, Tugel Mohammed and Tulabbergen Zaituna.
The purpose of the event was developing the spiritual and moral culture of students and ensuring their maximum involvement in the joint cultural activities of NU.
