In Astana, Open House Day had a summer and positive vibe. Professors, graduates of different years, and NU staff introduced schoolchildren and their parents, as well as those interested in continuing their education with the academic programs of the seven NU Schools, admissions, and training. They told about the types of offering grants and scholarships. Volunteers greeted guests and gave them tours of the campus and laboratories.

Center for Preparatory Studies's presentation about the NU entrance exams sparked interest among high school students. After all, online applications have already begun for the one-year intensive NUFYP pre-university preparatory program for 2023-2024. The program focuses on personal development and a more in-depth study of mathematics and academic English.
Professors from the NU School of Engineering and Digital Sciences (NU SEDS) spoke about the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs whose students - future programmers, robotics specialists, and engineers in related fields - enter the world market as highly skilled professionals. NU SEDS students held brain-computer workshops for high school students and a LEGO Sumo tournament on the basics of robotics. Student projects, including those that became startups, were also presented.

The School of Medicine (NUSOM) demonstrated basic laboratory techniques and held interactive classes on growing crystals and working with fluorescent bacterial cell lines. Masters in sports medicine and rehabilitation discussed the importance of warming up before training and how the VR system helps athletes. The school also trains specialists in public health, molecular medicine, pharmacology and toxicology. NUSOM is working to improve nursing and offers professional development programs for nurses and trains doctoral students in biomedical sciences.
The NU School of Mining and Geosciences, which collaborates with local and international universities and companies, including the Colorado School of Mines, USA, has state-of-the-art training facilities. NU SMG students gain knowledge and practical skills. On Open House day, visitors learned how drones are used in and transform the mining industry. Guests visited laboratories and, thanks to virtual reality, a real mine.
One of NU's large schools, the School of Sciences and Humanities, motivates students to participate in research activities starting their first year. They can assist scientists working on their projects in the available 90 labs. Students participate in international olympiads and archaeological digs and co-author scientific articles.
The three Graduate Schools - of Business, Education, and Public Policy - held informative sessions and lectures. These Schools offer master's and doctoral programs, train leaders and hold intensives for industry leadership. There is an opportunity to study abroad at partner universities.

The University Innovation Library, which has access to a global digital library, organized an exhibition of the most-read books of recent years in addition to tours and games.
NU provides not only knowledge and skills, but also an unforgettable experience in a dynamic and multicultural environment. Student life at NU is exciting and vibrant. Student clubs which are more than 200 at the University, demonstrated it through music, dance performing, organizing a charitable exhibition of ceramics and much more. Visitors could try to make something of their own accord.
