During her visit, Her Excellency met with the university's president Dr. Waqar Ahmad.
The parties discussed the current collaboration between NU and universities in Germany. It is noteworthy that in the autumn semester of 2024, the Kazakh university is hosting 9 students from 4 German institutions: TU Dresden, Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, and Hertie School. Representatives of NU also shared updates on ongoing joint research projects with their German colleagues and the prospects for further cooperation.
Ms. Iwersen was appointed as the ambassador to Kazakhstan in 2021 and has visited NU multiple times. On April 10, 2024, she delivered a guest lecture for the university community on the topic of «Rule of Law».
