On October 14, 2022, the first-ever NU Culture Day was held at NU with flying colors, in which NU Management Team, faculty, staff, and students from different countries and cultures participated.
The event was mainly initiated by the NU Association of International Students (NUAIS) and was organized in close collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of the Student Government (SG MinCult), the Culture Center Rukhani Zhangyru, the Office of International Students and Scholars Services (OISSS), and more than 10 different clubs at NU.
“Words fail to express our genuine gratitude to you all for your inspirational initiative, dedication, and commitment to unify all NU students, faculty, and staff from about sixty countries by sharing, celebrating, and enjoying their unique, beautiful, rich, and diverse cultures. Our university is a remarkable institution because of all of you. You make NU an exciting and dynamic place to learn, work, live, and always strive for even greater heights,” in a congratulatory letter noted Mrs Kadisha Dairova, NU Vice President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation.
The event, in which both local and international students shared, celebrated, and enjoyed each other's diverse and rich cultures through cultural performances of different kinds, was to unify the NU community from different backgrounds and cultures as well as to enhance mutual understanding among NU Community through fostering cultural awareness.
This new tradition - a celebration of Culture Day - will be held annually at NU.
