Share this articleNU issued the certificates of Foundation program completion to the graduates of the Centre for Preparatory studies. Students who successfully completed their study could pass on to undergraduate programs and start their first semester at the university schools.
This year 470 people completed the Foundation program, 27 of them got a certificate with Honor. During the study 19 distinctive graduates focused on Math and Physics, five had a focus area in Chemistry and Biology, and three people studied Economics. All 27 students received their certificates with Honor from NU President Shigeo Katsu.
NU Centre for Preparatory Studies provides an intensive preparation for the academic challenges of an undergraduate degree program at NU. CPS Foundation curriculum includes Math, International Relations, Economics, and English for Academic Purposes as well as Chemistry, Biology and Physics with lab classes.
NU Centre for Preparatory Studies is partnered by University College London (UK). In 2012 UCL was ranked #4 in the QS World University Ranking. Every year 500 Kazakhstani government scholarships are granted for Kazakhstani citizens who will study at the NU Centre for Preparatory Studies. Registration for 2013-2014 Foundation applicants as usual will start in November.
