The University of Freiburg (Germany) and NU jointly organize a Summer School on ‘Lived Islam in Central Asia’ funded by the Volkswagen Foundation. It brings together M.A. students, PhD candidates and postdoctoral scholars from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Germany. The summer school is proud to offer a series of four lectures at NU to the university community and general public.
