Tamyr Bazaar at Nazarbayev University

10 October, 2024, Thursday Culture

Step into the heart of Kazakh culture at Tamyr Bazaar, where artisans, artists, and sculptors present their
unique, handcrafted products. Named after the Kazakh word for "roots," this bazaar celebrates heritage
and offers the Nazarbayev University community a chance to support local artisans and creators.

Visitors will have the opportunity to acquire works from Kazakh artists and sculptors, along with a
diverse selection of items perfect for Christmas and New Year gifts. Tamyr Bazaar is the ideal place to
find one-of-a-kind, meaningful presents that will bring joy to your loved ones this holiday season.

In collaboration with the DAAD-funded workshop, "Entrepreneurship and Social Change in Central Asia,
South Caucasus, and Eastern Europe: Decolonization, Identities, and Empowerment"; and a book launch
by the Nazarbayev University Research Centre for Entrepreneurship (NURCE), the Tamyr Bazaar
highlights Kazakhstan’s rich cultural legacy. Explore traditional and contemporary goods while directly
supporting the local economy.

Join us in celebrating Kazakh culture through art, creativity, and community!

Date: October 10-13, 2024
Venue: Astana, Kabanbay Batyr Avenue, 53, Nazarbayev University, Atrium, upper and lower floors.
