SDSN Youth and NU Red Crescent Society present:
Join us for "Let's Talk Emergency in Kazakhstan" - a critical discussion on readiness and response to urgent situations with insights from the Kazakhstan National Volunteers Network and experts in the field!
Have you been following the situation with the flood crisis in several regions of Kazakhstan on social media? Not too long ago, the country was also shaken by earthquakes in the Almaty region. What is the state of emergency readiness in Kazakhstan? Let's meet and discuss it, thereby promoting community resilience.
We invited amazing speakers, who specialize in Flood Risk and Earthquakes, to discuss the nature of emergency and possible responses to them. Our other special guests include @kz_nvs, representatives of the Kazakhstan's National Volunteers Network, who have been mobilizing humanitarian aid and resources to the affected populations throughout these events. They would share footage from the center of action. So, if you feel like increasing your knowledge and outlook, join our session to gain useful insights.
