"We invite you to the business networking game "UN Summit: negotiations on measures to curb climate change".
Why is it interesting:
▫️ Exemplify the role of world leaders who make decisions on climate strategy,
▫️ Improve negotiation skills,
▫️ You will develop meta-skills and soft skills of systemic and critical thinking,
▫️ Consider climate projects from the point of view of effectiveness in the long term.
In 2015, almost all countries of the world signed the Paris Climate Agreement. Including the countries of Central Asia.
The main task: to limit global warming to 2°C by 2100, compared to the pre-industrial period. But now the temperature has risen by more than 1 degree, and exceeding the temperature limit threatens natural disasters, a food crisis, and the destruction of infrastructure.
Players become participants in the Summit, during which they will test different hypotheses - what is more effective: planting trees or taxing oilmen, reducing the volume of production of goods, or launching electric cars? And if the action is contradictory, I am interested in some of the groups of people. Will the participants be able to join forces and agree on a common strategy for the survival of humanity by the year 2100?
This is a new business game format for Kazakhstan, in which the organizers will use a climate simulator developed by graduates of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mat. The model simulator is based on the latest scientific data and shows global economic changes in real-time based on the decisions of the participants.
Facilitator of the event: ESG-expert and official ambassadors of the game Natalya Bachinskaya and Alexandra Zamyakina.
