NU announces the opening of the online application for the Foundation Year Program on a fee-paying basis for the 2023-2024 academic year, which is available from March 1 till June 30, 2023 (23:59 Astana time).
In order to apply applicants should follow the steps below:
1. Register on the admissions.nu.edu.kz and create a Personal account;
2. Complete the application form and attach the required documents:
- Scanned copy of the National ID card and/or passport;
- Scanned copy of the confirmation from the school (spravka) or a notarized copy of secondary school or higher education institution certificate (Attestat/Diploma, if available);
- Electronic copy of SAT/ACT results (official electronic results must be sent via the Test Administrator to NU as well);
3. Pay the application fee (application fee is 3000 tenge, non-refundable). Within the last two weeks of application deadline, including the extension period for application, application fee is increased three times (9000 tenge).
Application fee is paid online via your personal account in «My Application Forms» section with a bank card authorized for online/internet transactions;
4. Press the “Submit application” button. After that no changes to applications are possible to make.
5. Submit IELTS/TOEFL/Linguaskill test results according to the instructions in a Personal account.
Important:
1. To submit your IELTS/TOEFL/Linguaskill and SAT/ACT certificate results to NU, an official electronic report of valid certificates must be sent by the Test Administrator directly to NU. Applicants must also upload scanned copies of certificates to their Personal account. Detailed instruction is available in your Personal account.

2. These tests should be taken not later than the following dates:
- IELTS/TOEFL/Linguaskill – June 30, 2023
- SAT – June 3, 2023
- ACT – June 10, 2023
- Deadline for submission of test results is July 11, 2023.
