Center for Preparatory Studies

NU Center for Preparatory Studies (NU CPS) prepares students for study at NU and also for Universities overseas. Our Foundation Year Program is accredited by the British Association of Lecturers in English for Academic Purposes (BALEAP) and is recognized by top universities in the UK and around the world. Foundation prepares students by developing leadership skills, academic English, and mathematics so students will be successful in any undergraduate discipline. NU CPS also offers another program (ZYGP) that prepares students for study in graduate degree programs. That is, students who already hold a BA degree, but who do not have the English skills necessary to conduct research in English, can apply to an NU graduate program. If successful, they would be conditionally admitted to NU CPS where they will perfect their academic English and skills to be able to accomplish research at NU or another English-medium university.

NUFYP

NUFYP (NU Foundation Year Program) – a one year intensive program at the Centre for Preparatory Studies of NU. The program provides an intensive academic, scientific and language proficiency preparation to the undergraduate programs of NU. Education under “NU” state grant, as well as tuition based education are available for this program. Following the results of study at NUFYP, NU Schools accept students for further education at the undergraduate programs.

Foundation Year Program
