Bachelor in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering program is a four-year pathway that combines the specialized areas of mechanical and aerospace engineering in a modern curriculum designed to train students in the theoretical concepts of both areas of specialization in a project-based format.
The faculty in NU SEDS educate students in the application of physics to engineer new advancements in the maintenance of mechanical systems such as motor vehicles, aeronautics, manufacturing plants, industrial equipment, and medical devices. Students master concepts essential to the design and generation of improvements within these many diverse focus industries to improve the performance and efficiency of the technologies used to generate devices essential to daily operations within modern society. Students studying mechanical and aerospace engineering address areas of specialization during their study and need to be competent in mathematics and physics as well as understanding the fundamentals of mechanical and aerospace engineering, which include engineering statics and dynamics, manual and computer aided drawing (CAD), and basic materials theory.
